Base Data

Overture Maps' Base dataset offers essential geographic layers—including land, water, infrastructure, and bathymetry—standardized for consistent basemap rendering.

Base

The Base theme in Overture Maps provides foundational geographic layers essential for rendering complete basemaps. It includes six feature types: land, water, land cover, land use, infrastructure, and bathymetry. Most of these features are derived from OpenStreetMap, with additional data from sources like the Daylight Coastlines and ESA WorldCover. Each feature is classified by subtype and class, ensuring consistency across the dataset.

You can import Base data from Overture Maps directly through Atlas' Overture Maps integration. This allows you to seamlessly incorporate comprehensive basemap layers into your Atlas projects, supporting applications such as cartographic visualization, spatial analysis, and environmental monitoring.
