Street Light Reporter
The Street Light Reporter Map shows all street light issues reported by citizens or city staff.
It’s a live, interactive map built to help maintenance teams track, manage, and fix problems faster.
Map Overview
Each dot on the map is a reported issue with a street light.
When you click a point, you’ll see:
- Type of issue (e.g. light out, flickering, always on)
- Time and date of report
- Location
- Status (open, in progress, resolved)
- Any notes or photos
This makes it easy to see where problems are and which ones still need fixing.
Filter Options
You can filter the map to:
- Show only open issues
- Focus on certain neighborhoods
- View specific issue types (e.g. flickering lights only)
- See reports from the past 7, 30, or 90 days
This helps teams plan routes and prioritize high-traffic areas.
Click on any marker to open the full report.
You’ll see everything reported, plus any updates from the team.
Crews can change the status, add notes, or mark it resolved—right from the map.
Assign Tasks
Each report can be assigned to a specific crew or contractor.
You can sort by assigned team, or see what’s unassigned.
This helps keep everyone clear on what they’re working on.
Field Access
The map works on mobile.
Field crews can open their list of tasks, update the status, or add a photo once a fix is done—all from their phones.
No need for extra apps or paperwork.
Layer Support
You can add custom layers to give more context:
- Street ownership zones
- Power grid zones
- High-priority streets (schools, hospitals)
This lets you see reports in relation to critical infrastructure.
