The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) has used GIS since 1989 and provides authoritative statewide GIS data free of charge through its Geospatial Open Data site. It supports natural resource decision-making, analysis, and education across South Carolina.
Coverage includes administrative and natural resource boundaries, statewide LiDAR elevation, hydrography, and land cover, available as downloads and ArcGIS services. SCDNR's Open Data site is a primary access point for South Carolina GIS data.
