The world runs on location. Every renewable energy project, every new road, every store opening, every disaster response — all of it is a spatial decision. Yet the tools people use to make those decisions are stuck in another era: heavy desktop software, ugly interfaces, weeks-long workflows. We're building Atlas to change that — a cloud-native GIS that anyone can pick up and use to make better decisions about the physical world. Maps shouldn't be a specialist's tool. They should be everyone's.
We're looking for a GIS Success Manager to be the bridge between Atlas and our customers. You'll combine deep GIS know-how with strong customer empathy to onboard new users, solve real spatial problems, and turn customers into long-term partners. You'll own customer outcomes end-to-end, from first onboarding call to long-term expansion — and you'll be the loudest voice for the customer inside Atlas, shaping the product through clear, well-prioritized feedback.
What you'll do
- Onboard new customers and guide them through their first workflows in Atlas
- Be the go-to expert on GIS best practices, data formats, and spatial analysis for our users
- Run product demos, training sessions, and workshops — both remote and in-person
- Translate customer needs into clear, prioritized feedback for product and engineering
- Own customer health, retention, and expansion across your accounts
- Build playbooks, documentation, and resources that scale customer success
Who you are
- 2+ years of hands-on GIS experience (QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar) and a strong grasp of spatial data
- A customer-facing background — success, support, solutions engineering, or consulting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a real sense of urgency
- Comfortable working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Thrive in a startup environment that values speed and ownership
- Bonus: B2B SaaS experience; SQL, Python, or scripting for spatial workflows; industry background in renewables, infrastructure, urban planning, or logistics; multilingual
Note from the co-founder
Our customers are doing genuinely important work — planning renewable energy, building infrastructure, and shaping how cities grow. The GIS Success Manager is who makes sure they actually succeed with Atlas, and who carries their reality back into the product. If you love GIS, love customers, and want your work to land directly on what gets built next, this is the role.
