Data Portals/IGN Géoservices

IGN Géoservices

France's national mapping agency portal, providing authoritative reference geographies, imagery, and topographic data through downloads and OGC services.

Géoservices is the data and services platform of IGN, the French national mapping and forestry institute. It distributes reference products such as the BD TOPO topographic database, BD ORTHO aerial imagery, the parcel cadastre, and elevation models — by bulk download and through OGC web services (WMS, WMTS, WFS) and vector tiles.

IGN moved most of its data to open licensing, so these authoritative French base layers are now freely reusable. Géoservices is the place to find precise topographic and cartographic data that goes beyond the more general open datasets on data.gouv.fr.
