Data Portals/Geopunt (Flanders)

Geopunt (Flanders)

The central geoportal for Flanders, providing the region's authoritative base maps, addresses, parcels, and thematic geographic data.

Geopunt is the public geoportal for Flanders, the northern region of Belgium, operated by Digitaal Vlaanderen. Because Belgium's geographic data is organized regionally, Geopunt is the authoritative source for Flemish base mapping rather than a single national portal.

It offers the GRB large-scale reference base map, addresses, cadastral parcels, orthophotos, and many thematic layers, available as downloads and through OGC services. Most data is released under the Free Open Data Licence Flanders.

Frequently Asked Questions

Belgium’s geographic competencies are largely devolved to its regions, so Flanders (Geopunt), Wallonia, and Brussels each run their own geoportals.

The Grootschalig Referentiebestand (GRB) is the large-scale reference base map of Flanders, covering buildings, parcels, roads, and infrastructure.

Most Geopunt data is published under the Free Open Data Licence Flanders, free for reuse.
