Sharing Maps

Sharing Maps in Atlas

Sharing your maps is the final step in bringing your projects to life. Whether you’re exporting high-quality images or sharing interactive maps online, Atlas makes it easy to present your work to others.

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to export your maps, share them with your team or the public, and embed them into websites using Builder Mode for interactive experiences.

🖼️ Exporting Your Map

  1. Find the Export Map Button

    • Located in the Map Tools section in the lower-left corner.
  2. Choose Your Layout

    • Standard Layout: Includes the interface elements.
    • Full Screen: Captures a cleaner, high-quality screenshot of your map.
  3. Customize Visibility

    • Decide which elements to include in your export:
      • Map title.
      • Description (e.g., project name).
      • Drawn by and date.
      • Legend.
      • Mini map or scale.
  4. Add Branding

    • Customize branding through your Workspace Settings.
  5. Select Format

    • Export as PNG or PDF.
  6. Edit and Finalize

    • Example: For a rental apartment map in Denmark:
      • Title: Monthly Rent and Apartment Size.
      • Legend: Clearly describe the map’s styling (e.g., colors for rent ranges and point sizes for apartment sizes).
    • Download your map once finalized.

🌐 Sharing Your Map Online

    • Found in the top-right corner of the interface.
  2. Sharing Options

    • Private Mode: Default setting, visible only to you.
    • Workspace Sharing: Share the map with your team members.
    • Public Mode:
      • Generate a shareable link.
      • Copy an embed code to add the map to your website.
