Interface Settings control the tools, features, and behavior of your map interface. Access settings by clicking the gear icon in the interface editor.
Interface
Save as Template
Templates allow you to reuse interface configurations across multiple maps. Click "Save as template" to store your current setup including enabled tools, controls, and view settings.
Tools
Tools provide interactive functionality for map users. Toggle each tool on or off based on your interface needs.
- Location search - Search bar for finding addresses and places
- Measure tool - Calculate distances and areas on the map
- Map export - Download maps as images or PDFs
- Find my location - Geolocation button to center map on user position
Controls
Controls determine navigation and display options available to map users. Each control can be toggled independently.
- Map scale - Display distance scale bar
- Zoom controls - Plus and minus buttons for zoom levels
- 3D mode - Toggle between 2D and 3D terrain view
- Basemap - Allow switching between different base map styles
- Projection - Enable projection switching for different map perspectives
View
View settings control interface presentation and user permissions. These options affect how users interact with and share your interface.
- Fullscreen (embeds) - Allow fullscreen mode when interface is embedded
- Static map - Disable pan and zoom for fixed map view
- Show title - Display interface title at the top
- Allow duplication - Let users copy and modify your interface
- Allow downloading comments - Enable comment export functionality
Variables
User variables enable dynamic content and personalized map experiences. Variables can be used together with Forms to enable pre-filled values based on a user.
Enable "Use user variables in this interface" to activate variable functionality. Click "Manage user variables" to define variables including name, type, and default values.
Danger Zone
Reset Interface
Reset interface removes all customizations and returns settings to default state. This action deletes widgets, custom styles, and configuration changes.
The reset button appears in red to indicate irreversible action. Always save templates before resetting if you want to preserve current setup.
